Do you qualify for medically necessary contact lenses? Most of the time, contact lenses are considered a “cosmetic” vision correction device. Contact lenses are defined as medically necessary when the patient has an eye disease or prescription that must be managed with contacts because glasses cannot provide sufficient correction.
