Custom contact lenses may be appropriate for the individual who cannot wear regular contact lenses, for example, patients with too much astigmatism. One  might consider custom contact lenses if regular contacts are uncomfortable or cause vision problems. Custom-made contacts may provide sharper vision and greater wearing comfort than regular soft lenses.
